HAPPY FESTIVUS 2025 !

This last year was challenging. There were bad times and a few good times. I suppose the key is to focus on the good and not get drowned by the bad. Easy to say. After the last 7 months of a fairly shit 2024 due to my partner Carol's decline with regard to health issues, 2025 began with her being disappeared into the hospital system (3 different ones) from January until May. 

 I did what I usually do; warding our beasts, conducting business and looking after the house as usual. Driving to and from the hospital on a daily basis, wore me the fuck out and I was elated that Carol finally was recovered just enough to finally be released to home care. #ZeusTheGreatPyr and #TimothyTheCat saved my sanity and gave me much needed support. Zeus passed peacefully on his bed unexpectedly one afternoon near end of June with Carol and Timothy asleep in the bed , 3 feet away in our master. We were devastated. To his credit The Zeus Man hung in long enough to see Carol home and was animated and joyous for a full 7 + weeks before making his next journey. We miss him dearly.

Positive Highlights 2025

I re-connected with an old friend in July and he was hired to begin home renovations for us. There have been many awesome improvements (many long overdue) to our house on Bearhill which are still ongoing. A number of things to continue into the spring of 2026. In late September we drove to Cornwall and came home with an 11 month old dog #AresTheGreatPyr ! The absolute joy that this boy has added to our lives is not measurable ! Ares has healed our sorrow regarding Zeus and we do feel that cosmically, Ares was steered towards us by Zeus❤️. Carol is getting stronger and although still in pain, she is now able to free walk once in awhile and do stairs with a cane. She has not been in a wheelchair in months now ! A family physician has finally just been attained !

Long story short...I want to thank every one for the continual support for Birdman Sound. It's been a lifelong mission of mine (through 40 years of community radio, 47 years of vinyl retail and LIVE music promotion) to spread the word of impeccable music from all over the globe that I feel folks should be aware of. It's been a very long journey and I have no plans on stopping until last days are upon me. Music is thee elixir of life...end of ! Here's hoping that 2026 is a good one for all, CHEERS ! Johnnie Feck
