X-Para-Meet 1982: Cold Wave, New Wave, It's Still R&R To Me...

After the Curbs in the late 70's and Angered Wrecks in 1981, Mark Carmody had the idea to record; for posterity, a handful of songs that arguably were pretty infuential on us at the time. This one off session done in Mark's loft apartment over the course of a few days paved the way forward for both Exploding Meet and Decade of Dreams. Based pretty much on the records we were all into at the time, it has a special place in my heart which recalls simpler times of life, love, laughter, and friends (some now departed).💕

This session was Mark Carmody (guitars/vox/recording/drum programming), John Westhaver (vox) and Dan Silk (bass on a few tracks). Recorded to 2-Track Reel-To-Reel in Mark's loft apartment on Charlotte St. Fredericton 1982-ish. Covers of Echo & The Bunnymen, Gary Numan, Joy Division, Bowie, Velvets, Hendrix, Teenage Head etc.
