Exciting times ! Ottawa Record Fair II and Ottawa Psychfest III are behind us ! Ottawa Record Fair III is booked for April 13th, 2024 and Ottawa Psychfest IV dates will be announced soon!
Manchester, UK's Dead Sea Apes and The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol recorded a FANTASTIC new album of improvisational sonic rock, just prior to their appearances on the 16th at House Of Targ. This session will be released by Cardinal Fuzz on vinyl and cd, in 2024. It's pretty sick, 9 players in all and a total mind blaster! In the interim and due in December, will be a new LP from TBWNIS entitled "VERDUN". Recorded in March this year, it exemplifies the forward motion of a 15 year old group who now operate in full improvisational mode at all times...it may well be their jewel in the crown thus far!
A fucking shitload of new wax in the shop the last few weeks (no different than usual) and you can check out some of it on the Birdman Blog, see it in person at Dave's Drum Shop Saturday's or...visit the on site shop (be prepared to be overwhelmed by the entire selection) !!!
Dave Cambridge will be on hand this Saturday at the weekly pop up, so come say hello (and goodbye) to The Cardinal of Fuzz himself as he's off home next Tuesday!
